Checking In

Ok, so it’s been a few days since my initial post. I feel it is important that I check-in on my GTD journey.

Currently I am struggling to integrate GTD into my life in a meaningful and routine manner. I’ve decided to reread the bible, also know as Getting Things Done by David Allen. My hope is that a reread will help to reinforce the ideas I’ve been introduced to while also motivating me to take action.

Systemically, I have decided to use OmniFocus by The Omni Group to establish my GTD workflow. I read a really great article worth sharing about how to implement GTD and OmniFocus in a systematic way. http://bit.ly/i7oVC5

I’m going to start tracking my level of implementation and stress on a day to day basis. My hope is to associate a narrative with my state of being.

My GTD Journey

A year ago I purchased David Allen’s Getting Things Done. Ironically I didn’t get it done, the book that is. So here I am 12 months later with the book completed cover to cover. It’s relatively exciting. It’s also relatively overwhelming. Before, not having read the book completely was an excuse to fall back on. It’s time to begin.

Over the next few months, maybe even years, join me on my GTD journey. My hope is that blogging will keep me in check. Not to mention, I was unable to locate any stories of starting out. Hopefully my mistakes and successes will help others on their GTD journey.

Buckle Up. The trains leaving. Tomorrow morning, 8AM sharp!
